The counseling and SEN program at AIS provides the following:
- Assisting students with critical transitions throughout their development years.
- Delivering counseling through a variety of ways.
- Monitoring events and providing effective follow-up with students, parents and teachers.
- Promoting knowledge, attitude, and skill development in the areas of academic achievements, personal/social growth and emotional development.
- Regular individual and group counseling activities designed to help students establish personal/social and academic goals.
- Early identification and intervention
- Modification and accommodation techniques
- Individual Educational Plans for gifted and talented as well as support
All of this is achieved while working closely with teachers and parents, keeping parents informed about their children's needs, progress and attainment, providing support and training to staff on strategies that meet student needs and facilitate appropriate assessment access arrangements for students who are eligible.
