Character Education

AIS builds up its student capacity around solid moral and educational programs. Without sound morals and strong values, character building becomes deficient.

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) learner profile describes a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond academic success. These comprise the moral values and strong base for developing respectful and respect worthy, international-minded, responsible good human beings.

They imply a commitment to help all members of the school community learn to respect themselves, others and the world around them.

Each of the IB's programmes is committed to the development of students according to the IB learner profile.

The profile aims to develop learners who are:

  • Inquirers
  • Knowledgeable
  • Thinkers
  • Communicators
  • Principled
  • Open-minded
  • Caring
  • Risk-takers
  • Balanced
  • Reflective

AIS teaching and learning are deeply connected and rooted in the IB Learner program. All staff at AIS are required to mirror the IB Learner Profile traits through their daily interactions with students, parents and the school community at large. Thus we lead by example, helping the children better acquire desired personality outcomes.
